Simon is a highly experienced education professional with a long and varied career spanning more than 30 years across all aspects of the education landscape. He has been: a teacher and senior manager in schools (primary and secondary sector); an adult literacy tutor/manager; a teacher trainer; an education adviser and inspector (including as a registered inspector with Ofsted); an assistant director of education for a major Unitary Authority; and extensive work as a senior director in education consultancy and services management.
He has specific and extensive experience of the development of major infrastructural projects for education, including whole authority BSF and PPP/PFI programmes and the associated change management and transformation processes associated with their development.
Simon currently heads up the Education and Children’s Services Sector at EC Harris. His responsibilities include the development of the EC Harris offer across all components of the sector and strategic business planning.
