Richard leads EC Harris’ Schools Direct business, delivering a full range of construction consultancy services to schools, Dioceses and Local Authority clients.
He has worked across all-age provision within the education sector, delivering services to nurseries, Sure Start centres, primary schools, secondary schools, sixth form centres, academies, further education colleges and universities. In the process, Richard as gained a substantial amount of experience on how buildings impact on teaching, learning and the wellbeing of children/young people within communities.
Richard has excellent knowledge of all aspects of maintaining and developing school buildings. He understands how schools, Dioceses and Local Authorities expect to use revenue and capital budgets and how these can be used to best effect. He advises schools on operating, maintaining and developing their premises with an educational focus and aligned with statutory compliance testing and DCSF guidance.
