Philip Marsh
Philip Marsh co-founded dRMM Architects in 1995 with Alex de Rijke and Sadie Morgan.
Philip has been central to dRMM's education projects, such as the remodelling of Kingsdale School, a highly acclaimed demonstration project that addressed student morale and education standards through transformation of the built environment. The Kingsdale School experience was further developed in the DCSF Exemplar School project ‘Dura’, a blueprint intended to offer inspiration for the national Building Schools of the Future (BSF) programme.
More recently, Philip was project director for Clapham Manor Primary School, a bold, contemporary extension to a Victorian board school in London. He is currently the director responsible for dRMM’s contribution to Birmingham City Council’s BSF programme. Philip has a hands-on approach to school community consultation, lately put to use while developing designs for Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education.
